  • 6 Must See Adult Fairy Tale Films

Fairy tales are defined, according to Jens Tismar, as stories that differ "from an oral folk tale"; and are written by "a single identifiable author" - characterized as "simple and anonymous", existing in a mutable and difficult to define genre. These stories exist within our Akashic records, and surface in different articulations through various mediums. Whether the stories are permutations of myth into holiday, or folklore into film - each tale tells a life lesson that transcends childhood fantasy, and offers a reflection of the wonder of the human experience. While trolls, goblins, unicorns, and monsters may not exist in this reality - the energies represent archetypes which carry great meaning in recognizing the shadow as well as the light, darkness being a tool for transformation an...

You can elbow drop the person that made the request to express your profound disdain of the implication you would do such a silly thing in the first place. Or you can suggest a fairy tale movie that you, being the adult human being that you are, might also enjoy. Mileage may vary on all of these, except the elbow drop. In 1917, there is little to be happy about in the Wright household in West Yorkshire, England. Polly (Phoebe Nicholls) and her 12-year-old daughter Elsie (Florence Hoath) are still grieving over the death of Elsie's younger brother, and Polly's niece Frances (Elizabeth Earl) has come to stay with them after her father was declared missing in action during World War I. Polly longs for some sort of proof that there is a life beyond our own, while the two girls ardently believe in fairies and enthusiastically study legend and lore. One day, Elsie and Frances produce photographs of fairies that they claim were playing in their garden; Polly believes that they are real, and soon the snapshots attract international attention. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (Peter O'Toole), author of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries and a confirmed spiritualist, declares the photos "as genuine as the King's beard," while illusionist Harry Houdini (Harvey Keitel), who has devoted much time and energy to exposing phony mediums and psychics, takes a more skeptical view. While Fairy Tale: A True Story presents the appearance of the fairies as fact, analysis of the photographs proved them to be fakes (especially after the same fairies were discovered as illustrations in a children's book published before the photos were taken). The real-life Elsie Wright admitted late in life that the fairy photos were a hoax performed as a "little joke" and that she was always surprised that so many people believed them. While trolls, goblins, unicorns, and monsters may not exist in this reality - the energies represent archetypes which carry great meaning in recognizing the shadow as well as the light, darkness being a tool for transformation and transmutation, and the journey being the ultimate teacher - not just the destination. This compilation is a list of 6 modern day fairy tales that can be appreciated beyond childhood, films which offer dream-like landscapes/visuals, and stories which arouse the imagination - allowing us to appreciate our humanity through the allegories hidden within the fantasy. ***Disclaimer: No copyright is claimed in the material used for this video and to the extent that material may appear to be infringed, I assert that such alleged infringement is permissible under fair use principles in U.S. copyright laws. So one day she went to an old Witch and said to her: 'I should so much like to have a tiny, little child; can you tell me where I can get one?' 'Oh, we have just got one ready!' said the Witch. 'Here is a barley-corn for you, but it's not the kind the farmer sows in his field, or feeds the cocks and hens with, I can tell you. Put it in a flower-pot, and then you will see something happen.' 'Oh, thank you!' said the woman, and gave the Witch a shilling, for that was what it cost. Then she went home and planted the barley-corn; immediately there grew out of it a large and beautiful flower, which looked like a tulip, but the petals were tightly closed as if it were still only a bud. 'What a beautiful flower!' exclaimed the woman, and she kissed the red and yellow petals; but as she kissed them the flower burst open. It was a real tulip, such as one can see any day; but in the middle of the blossom, on the green velvety petals, sat a little girl, quite tiny, trim, and pretty. She was scarcely half a thumb in height; so they called her Thumbelina. An elegant polished walnut-shell served Thumbelina as a cradle, the blue petals of a violet were her mattress, and a rose-leaf her coverlid. There she lay at night, but in the day-time she used to play about on the table; here the woman had put a bowl, surrounded by a ring of flowers, with their stalks in water, in the middle of which floated a great tulip pedal, and on this Thumbelina sat, and sailed from one side of the bowl to the other, rowing herself with two white horse-hairs for oars. It was such a pretty sight! She could sing, too, with a voice more soft and sweet than had ever been heard before. One night, when she was lying in her pretty little bed, an old toad crept in through a broken pane in the window. She was very ugly, clumsy, and clammy; she hopped on to the table where Thumbelina lay asleep under the red rose-leaf. 'This would make a beautiful wife for my son,' said the toad, taking up the walnut-shell, with Thumbelina inside, and hopping with it through the window into the garden. There flowed a great wide stream, with slippery and marshy banks; here the toad lived with her son. Ugh! how ugly and clammy he was, just like his mother! 'Croak, croak, croak!' was all he could say when he saw the pretty little girl in the walnut-shell. 'Don't talk so load, or you'll wake her,' said the old toad. 'She might escape us even now; she is as light as a feather. We will put her at once on a broad water-lily leaf in the stream. That will be quite an island for her; she is so small and light. She can't run away from us there, whilst we are preparing the guest-chamber under the marsh where she shall live.' Outside in the brook grew many water-lilies, with broad green leaves, which looked as if they were swimming about on the water. The leaf farthest away was the largest, and to this the old toad swam with Thumbelina in her walnut-shell. The tiny Thumbelina woke up very early in the morning, and when she saw where she was she began to cry bitterly; for on every side of the great green leaf was water, and she could not get to the land. The old toad was down under the marsh, decorating her room with rushes and yellow marigold leaves, to make it very grand for her new daughter-in-law; then she swam out with her ugly son to the leaf where Thumbelina lay. She wanted to fetch the pretty cradle to put it into her room before Thumbelina herself came there. The old toad bowed low in the water before her, and said: 'Here is my son; you shall marry him, and live in great magnificence down under the marsh.'.... #thumbelina #fairytale #fairytales #bedtimestories #kidsstories #shortstories #shortstory - Thumbelina Full Movie | Princess Fairy Tales | Bedtime Stories

9 of the Best Fairy Tale Films For Adults We’ve all been there: someone wants to watch a fairy tale movie but you’re not 5 anymore so you want other things in life. There’s very little options in that kind of situation. You can ignore it, as most people do, and pretend the request was aimed at someone else. You can elbow drop the person that made the request to express your profound disdain of the implication you would do such a silly thing in the first place. Or you can suggest a fairy tale movie that you, being the adult human being that you are, might also enjoy. Mileage may vary on all of these, except the elbow drop. Elbow drops always get the point across. But since we’re not going to advocate using violence against your friends and loved ones, and ignoring people is just as bad, we’ll stick to a few suggestions of fairy tale films that might not bore every last drop of joie de vivre (that’s French) out of your soul. But, again, mileage may vary. No 1 . Mirror Mirror A more modern take on Snow White, this one stars Lily Collins as Snow White and Julia Roberts as the evil queen. And let’s face it, we all knew Julia was evil. No 2 . Sleepy Hollow An old-ish Burton Movie, Sleepy Hollow is the wonderful film about the Headless Horseman, played by Christopher Walken. Also stars Johnny Depp, like most Burton movies. No 3 . Red Riding Hood It’s not the best movie around, but it’s got Amanda Seyfried and it’s based on a story we all know. Should be enough, right? No 4 . Maleficent Starring Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, this is one of the better movies on this list. Heck, it was even nominated for an Oscar! No 5 . Edward Scissorhands Another Burton/Depp collaboration about a weirdo trying to fit into society. Anyway, Edward has hands made of scissors. You have no idea how lucky he got with a last name like that, it’s like they knew! No 6 . Pan’s Labyrinth The biggest Oscar winner on this list, so that should be enough to warrant a watch. Also, Guillermo del Toro wrote it – so you know it’s good. No 7 . Snow White and the Huntsman This movie stars “Chick From Twilight” and Thor. Also Charlize Theron. Apart from that, not much to say about this movie. It’s a movie. Not a particularly good one, but not a particularly bad one either. It’s just… a movie. No 8 . Alice in Wonderland Jeez, another Burton/Depp collaboration? Well, this one won two Oscars (one less than Pan’s Labyrinth), so y’know. In this case I’d say it means very little, since the other Burton/Depp movies I mentioned were way better. No 9 . Oz the Great and Powerful This movie has equal parts “big names that can convince people to watch this” and “cringeworthy acting that makes people not want to watch this”. I guess it depends on how badly you want to see The Wizard of Oz in HD and all that other modern mumbo-jumbo. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Source: http://brainberries.co/movietv/9-of-the-best-fairy-tale-films-for-adults/ I am hereby declare that all Images use to make this video is from Google Search www.google.com . 5 of the Best Fairy Tale Films For Adults ================================================== Plice See It my Video Enjoy My Videos, Please Like and Share '' SUBSCRIBE'' More Videos. ======================== We’ve all been there: someone wants to watch a fairy tale movie but you’re not 5 anymore so you want other things in life. ====================================================== Mirror Mirror,Sleepy Hollow,Red Riding Hood,Maleficent,Edward Scissorhands, fairy tale movies, fairy movies, fairy tales movies, list of fairy tales, best fairytale movies, fairytale film, grimm's fairy tales for adults fairy tale movies for adults movies based on fairy tales fairy tale books for adults grimm's fairy tales movie fairy films, best fairy tales, best fairy tales movies, top 10 fairy tales, adult fairy tale movies, fairy tales for adults, list of fairy tale movies dark fairy tale movies fairy tale movies for kids fairy tales movies for kids top fairy tale movies fairy tale movies 2014 best fairy movies animated fairy movies live action fairy tale movies a fairy tale movie english fairy tales movies films based on fairy tales adult fairy tales movies =============== Twitter Link --------------------- https://twitter.com/SaafirHossain google + Link ----------------------- https://plus.google.com/104309562691313266654 Facebook Page ----------------------------- https://www.facebook.com/Lets-do-the-fun-606109282915391/ =================================================== 5 of the Best Fairy Tale Films For Adults

The Wild Swans | Animated Full Movie Cartoon for Kids | Fairy Tale by Hans Christian Andersen The Wild Swans is a literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about a princess who rescues her eleven brothers from a spell cast by an evil queen. The tale was first published on 2 October 1838 as the first installment in Andersen's Fairy Tales Told for Children by C. A. Reitzel in Copenhagen, Denmark. It has been adapted to various media including ballet, television, and film. The Wild Swans | Animated Full Movie Cartoon for Kids Eleven brothers, turned into wild swans by an evil stepmother, are saved by the sacrifices of their beautiful sister, Elisa. In a faraway kingdom, there lives a widowed king with his twelve children: eleven princes and one princess. One day, he decides to remarry. He marries a wicked queen who was a witch. Out of spite, the queen turns her eleven stepsons into swans (they are allowed to become human by night) and forces them to fly away. The queen then tries to bewitch their 15-year-old sister, Elisa, but Elisa's goodness is too strong for this, so the queen has Elisa banished. The brothers carry Elisa to safety in a foreign land where she is out of the reach of her stepmother. There, Elisa is guided by the queen of the fairies to gather stinging nettles in graveyards to knit into shirts that will eventually help her brothers regain their human shapes. Elisa endures painfully blistered hands from nettle stings, and she must also take a vow of silence for the duration of her task, for speaking one word will kill her brothers. The king of another faraway land happens to come across the mute Elisa and falls in love with her. He grants her a room in his castle where she continues her knitting. Eventually he proposes to crown her as his queen and wife, and she accepts. However, the Archbishop is chagrined because he thinks Elisa is herself a witch, but the king will not believe him. One night Elisa runs out of nettles and is forced to collect more in a nearby church graveyard where the Archbishop is watching. He reports the incident to the king as proof of witchcraft. The statues of the saints shake their heads in protest, but the Archbishop misinterprets this sign as confirmation of Elisa's guilt. The Archbishop orders to put Elisa on trial for witchcraft. She can speak no word in her defence and is sentenced to death by burning at the stake. The brothers discover Elisa's plight and try to speak to the king but fail. Even as the tumbril bears Elisa away to execution, she continues knitting, determined to keep it up to the last moment of her life. This enrages the people, who are on the brink of snatching and destroying the shirts when the swans descend and rescue Elisa. The people interpret this as a sign from Heaven that Elisa is innocent, but the executioner still makes ready for the burning. Then Elisa throws the shirts over the swans, and the brothers return to their human forms. Elisa is now free to speak and tell the truth, but she faints from exhaustion, so her brothers explain. As they do so, the firewood around Elisa's stake miraculously take root and burst into flowers. The king plucks the topmost flower and presents it to Elisa, and they are married.
